Last May, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention posted a zombie apocalypse preparedness plan on its public health blog. This month, the CDC continued their zombie emergency education by publishing an informative comic book. Check out the free novella on the CDC’s Zombie Preparedness website. The comic book, titled Preparedness 101: Zombie Pandemic, includes a survival kit checklist and tips for hazard preparedness. The CDC continues to prove that at least one government organization will be prepared for an undead uprising.

In response to the massive popularity of their zombie apocalypse survival post, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Emergency Preparedness and Response blog is holding a video contest for disaster preparedness. The blog instructs contestants to create a 60-second video showing how they are prepared for any emergency e.g. hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, zombies, etc. Winners will be chosen by the “CDC Zombie Task Force.” Stay tuned to the CDC’s zombie blog page and CDC EPR on Facebook for more upcoming details.
